O Janardana, I have heard from the learned that those who destroy family traditions dwell always in hell.

उत्सन्नकुलधर्माणां मनुष्याणां जनार्दन | नरके नियतं वासो भवतीत्यनुशुश्रुम ||

Transliteration

utsanna-kula-dharmāṇāṁ manuṣyāṇāṁ janārdana narake niyataṁ vāso bhavatīty anuśuśruma

Commentary

Arjuna cites scriptural authority - he has heard from wise teachers that destroyers of family dharma are destined for hell. He appeals to traditional knowledge to support his argument.
