“Indeed, You alone know Yourself by Your own Self, O Supreme Person, O source of all beings, O Lord of beings, O God of gods, O Master of the universe.”
Sanskrit
स्वयमेवात्मनात्मानं वेत्थ त्वं पुरुषोत्तम | भूतभावन भूतेश देवदेव जगत्पते ||
Transliteration
svayam evātmanātmānaṁ vettha tvaṁ puruṣottama bhūta-bhāvana bhūteśa deva-deva jagat-pate
Commentary
Only God can fully know God. Arjuna acknowledges Krishna's self-knowledge and addresses Him with exalted titles: source of beings, their Lord, God of gods, and universe's master.
