“Know Me, O Partha, as the chief of priests, Brihaspati; among commanders, I am Skanda; among bodies of water, I am the ocean.”
Sanskrit
पुरोधसां च मुख्यं मां विद्धि पार्थ बृहस्पतिम् | सेनानीनामहं स्कन्दः सरसामस्मि सागरः ||
Transliteration
purodhasāṁ ca mukhyaṁ māṁ viddhi pārtha bṛhaspatim senānīnām ahaṁ skandaḥ sarasām asmi sāgaraḥ
Commentary
Krishna is Brihaspati (priest of gods), Skanda (divine commander), and the ocean among waters—representing spiritual authority, military prowess, and vastness.
