“If the embodied one dies when sattva is predominant, then he attains the pure worlds of those who know the highest.”
Sanskrit
यदा सत्त्वे प्रवृद्धे तु प्रलयं याति देहभृत् | तदोत्तमविदां लोकानमलान्प्रतिपद्यते ||
Transliteration
yadā sattve pravṛddhe tu pralayaṁ yāti deha-bhṛt tadottama-vidāṁ lokān amalān pratipadyate
Commentary
Death in sattvic state leads to higher realms where pure souls and sages dwell. The predominant guna at death influences the soul's destination.
