“Transcending these three gunas which originate in the body, the embodied one, freed from birth, death, old age, and sorrow, attains immortality.”
Sanskrit
गुणानेतानतीत्य त्रीन्देही देहसमुद्भवान् | जन्ममृत्युजरादुःखैर्विमुक्तोऽमृतमश्नुते ||
Transliteration
guṇān etān atītya trīn dehī deha-samudbhavān janma-mṛtyu-jarā-duḥkhair vimukto 'mṛtam aśnute
Commentary
One who rises above all three modes of nature escapes the cycle of birth, death, aging, and suffering. This transcendence is the gateway to immortal existence.
