“Who sits like one unconcerned, undisturbed by the gunas, knowing that the gunas alone act—who remains firm and does not waver—”
Sanskrit
उदासीनवदासीनो गुणैर्यो न विचाल्यते | गुणा वर्तन्त इत्येवं योऽवतिष्ठति नेङ्गते ||
Transliteration
udāsīna-vad āsīno guṇair yo na vicālyate guṇā vartanta ity evaṁ yo 'vatiṣṭhati neṅgate
Commentary
The liberated one remains like an uninvolved witness, undisturbed by the play of qualities. Knowing that the gunas merely interact with each other, they stay steady and unmoved.
