“But action performed with desire for results, or with ego, or with great effort—that is declared rajasic.”

यत्तु कामेप्सुना कर्म साहङ्कारेण वा पुनः | क्रियते बहुलायासं तद्राजसमुदाहृतम् ||
Transliteration
yat tu kāmepsunā karma sāhaṅkāreṇa vā punaḥ kriyate bahulāyāsaṁ tad rājasam udāhṛtam
Commentary
Rajasic action is driven by desire for outcomes, performed with ego involvement, and accompanied by excessive strain. It binds the doer to results and creates stress.
