“Hear My conclusion on tyaga, O best of the Bharatas. Tyaga, O tiger among men, is declared to be of three kinds.”
Sanskrit
निश्चयं शृणु मे तत्र त्यागे भरतसत्तम | त्यागो हि पुरुषव्याघ्र त्रिविधः सम्प्रकीर्तितः ||
Transliteration
niścayaṁ śṛṇu me tatra tyāge bharata-sattama tyāgo hi puruṣa-vyāghra trividhaḥ samprakīrtitaḥ
Commentary
Krishna will give His definitive teaching on relinquishment, classified according to the three gunas. This three-fold analysis will clarify proper understanding.
