“Even one who merely listens with faith and without malice—that person too, liberated, shall attain the auspicious worlds of the righteous.”
Sanskrit
श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः | सोऽपि मुक्तः शुभाँल्लोकान्प्राप्नुयात्पुण्यकर्मणाम् ||
Transliteration
śraddhāvān anasūyaś ca śṛṇuyād api yo naraḥ so 'pi muktaḥ śubhāl lokān prāpnuyāt puṇya-karmaṇām
Commentary
Even faithful, non-hostile listening brings liberation and heavenly realms. The teaching works even through mere receptive hearing—such is its power.
