Chapter 2: Transcendental Knowledgeसांख्ययोग
2:45
“The Vedas deal mainly with the three modes of material nature. Rise above these modes, O Arjuna. Be transcendental to them, free from duality, ever established in goodness, unconcerned with acquisition and preservation, and established in the self.”
Sanskrit

Transliteration

Commentary
Krishna advises transcending the three gunas (modes of nature) that the Vedas address. True spirituality goes beyond material dualities, remaining self-established regardless of external circumstances.
