“But those who, out of envy, disregard these teachings and do not follow them are deluded about all knowledge. Know them to be doomed and mindless.”
Sanskrit
ये त्वेतदभ्यसूयन्तो नानुतिष्ठन्ति मे मतम् | सर्वज्ञानविमूढांस्तान्विद्धि नष्टानचेतसः ||
Transliteration
ye tv etad abhyasūyanto nānutiṣṭhanti me matam sarva-jñāna-vimūḍhāṁs tān viddhi naṣṭān acetasaḥ
Commentary
Those who enviously reject divine teachings destroy their own spiritual potential. Envy blocks wisdom and leads to continued bondage. Such obstinacy is spiritually self-destructive.
