“Attachment and aversion for sense objects are situated in the senses. One should not come under their control, for they are obstacles on the path.”

इन्द्रियस्येन्द्रियस्यार्थे रागद्वेषौ व्यवस्थितौ | तयोर्न वशमागच्छेत्तौ ह्यस्य परिपन्थिनौ ||
Transliteration
indriyasyendriyasyārthe rāga-dveṣau vyavasthitau tayor na vaśam āgacchet tau hy asya paripanthinau
Commentary
Each sense has its natural attractions and aversions. These are enemies on the spiritual path. One must recognize them and not fall under their sway. Awareness is the key to freedom.
