“Thus knowing the self to be superior to the intelligence, O mighty-armed one, steady the mind with the self and conquer this formidable enemy in the form of desire.”
Sanskrit
एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना | जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो कामरूपं दुरासदम् ||
Transliteration
evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā saṁstabhyātmānam ātmanā jahi śatruṁ mahā-bāho kāma-rūpaṁ durāsadam
Commentary
The chapter concludes with the solution: know yourself as beyond the intellect, stabilize the mind through this knowledge, and defeat the enemy of desire. Self-knowledge is the ultimate weapon.
