Chapter 4: Path of Knowledgeज्ञानकर्मसंन्यासयोग
4:20
“Having abandoned attachment to the fruits of action, ever content, depending on nothing, such a person, though fully engaged in action, does not do anything at all.”
Sanskrit
त्यक्त्वा कर्मफलासङ्गं नित्यतृप्तो निराश्रयः | कर्मण्यभिप्रवृत्तोऽपि नैव किञ्चित्करोति सः ||
Transliteration
tyaktvā karma-phalāsaṅgaṁ nitya-tṛpto nirāśrayaḥ karmaṇy abhipravṛtto 'pi naiva kiñcit karoti saḥ
Commentary
The liberated person works constantly yet does nothing. Free from attachment, self-sufficient, and without dependency, actions don't bind them. This is true non-doership.
