“Content with whatever comes by chance, beyond dualities, free from envy, equal in success and failure - such a person, though acting, is not bound.”
Sanskrit
यदृच्छालाभसन्तुष्टो द्वन्द्वातीतो विमत्सरः | समः सिद्धावसिद्धौ च कृत्वापि न निबध्यते ||
Transliteration
yadṛcchā-lābha-santuṣṭo dvandvātīto vimatsaraḥ samaḥ siddhāv asiddhau ca kṛtvāpi na nibadhyate
Commentary
Contentment with whatever comes, freedom from opposites and envy, equanimity in success and failure - these qualities ensure freedom from bondage even while active.
