“The one who has faith, is devoted to it, and has controlled the senses attains knowledge; having attained knowledge, one quickly attains supreme peace.”
Sanskrit
श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः | ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति ||
Transliteration
śraddhāvāṁl labhate jñānaṁ tat-paraḥ saṁyatendriyaḥ jñānaṁ labdhvā parāṁ śāntim acireṇādhigacchati
Commentary
Three qualifications bring knowledge: faith, dedication, and sense control. With knowledge comes supreme peace - the goal of all spiritual seeking - and it comes quickly to the qualified seeker.
