One who is moderate in eating, recreation, working, sleeping, and waking can mitigate all sorrows through yoga.

Sanskrit

युक्ताहारविहारस्य युक्तचेष्टस्य कर्मसु | युक्तस्वप्नावबोधस्य योगो भवति दुःखहा ||

Transliteration

yuktāhāra-vihārasya yukta-ceṣṭasya karmasu yukta-svapnāvabodhasya yogo bhavati duḥkha-hā

Commentary

Balance in all activities is essential for spiritual practice. Extremes in any area - whether indulgence or deprivation - disturb the mind. The middle path creates conditions for lasting inner peace.
