“I am not manifest to everyone, being veiled by My divine yoga-maya. This deluded world does not know Me, the unborn and imperishable.”
Sanskrit
नाहं प्रकाशः सर्वस्य योगमायासमावृतः | मूढोऽयं नाभिजानाति लोको मामजमव्ययम् ||
Transliteration
nāhaṁ prakāśaḥ sarvasya yoga-māyā-samāvṛtaḥ mūḍho 'yaṁ nābhijānāti loko mām ajam avyayam
Commentary
God's transcendental nature is hidden by His own divine energy. He reveals Himself to devotees but remains concealed from those who lack faith or devotion. The unborn and eternal Lord is not perceived by the materially minded.
