“This same multitude of beings, coming into existence again and again, is dissolved at the approach of night and manifests at the coming of day, helplessly.”

भूतग्रामः स एवायं भूत्वा भूत्वा प्रलीयते | रात्र्यागमेऽवशः पार्थ प्रभवत्यहरागमे ||
Transliteration
bhūta-grāmaḥ sa evāyaṁ bhūtvā bhūtvā pralīyate rātry-āgame 'vaśaḥ pārtha prabhavaty ahar-āgame
Commentary
Beings are helplessly caught in cosmic cycles of creation and dissolution. Without spiritual liberation, souls repeatedly manifest and merge back, subject to time's inexorable rhythm.
