“O best of the Bharatas, I shall now describe to you the times at which yogis depart, either to return or not to return.”

यत्र काले त्वनावृत्तिमावृत्तिं चैव योगिनः | प्रयाता यान्ति तं कालं वक्ष्यामि भरतर्षभ ||
Transliteration
yatra kāle tv anāvṛttim āvṛttiṁ caiva yoginaḥ prayātā yānti taṁ kālaṁ vakṣyāmi bharatarṣabha
Commentary
Krishna introduces the topic of auspicious times for death. Certain cosmic conditions at departure determine whether a yogi returns to material existence or attains liberation.
