“These two paths, light and dark, are considered eternal for the world. By one, one does not return; by the other, one returns again.”

शुक्लकृष्णे गती ह्येते जगतः शाश्वते मते | एकया यात्यनावृत्तिमन्ययावर्तते पुनः ||
Transliteration
śukla-kṛṣṇe gatī hy ete jagataḥ śāśvate mate ekayā yāty anāvṛttim anyayāvartate punaḥ
Commentary
Two eternal paths exist: the bright path of no return and the dark path of return. These cosmic routes determine the soul's post-death journey—liberation or rebirth.
