“Whatever state of being one remembers when quitting the body, O son of Kunti, that state one will attain without fail.”
Sanskrit
यं यं वापि स्मरन्भावं त्यजत्यन्ते कलेवरम् | तं तमेवैति कौन्तेय सदा तद्भावभावितः ||
Transliteration
yaṁ yaṁ vāpi smaran bhāvaṁ tyajaty ante kalevaram taṁ tam evaiti kaunteya sadā tad-bhāva-bhāvitaḥ
Commentary
Our predominant consciousness creates our future. What we consistently dwell upon shapes not only our character but our ultimate destination. This is why spiritual practice throughout life is so important.
