“The king of Kashi, an excellent archer, Shikhandi the great warrior, Dhrishtadyumna, Virata, and the unconquerable Satyaki all blew their conchshells.”

काश्यश्च परमेष्वासः शिखण्डी च महारथः | धृष्टद्युम्नो विराटश्च सात्यकिश्चापराजितः ||
Transliteration
kāśyaś ca parameṣv-āsaḥ śikhaṇḍī ca mahā-rathaḥ dhṛṣṭadyumno virāṭaś ca sātyakiś cāparājitaḥ
Commentary
More Pandava allies join the response. Shikhandi is particularly significant as he was destined to be instrumental in Bhishma's fall.
