“Among the Vrishnis, I am Vasudeva; among the Pandavas, Arjuna; among sages, I am Vyasa; and among poets, Ushana.”
Sanskrit
वृष्णीनां वासुदेवोऽस्मि पाण्डवानां धनञ्जयः | मुनीनामप्यहं व्यासः कवीनामुशना कविः ||
Transliteration
vṛṣṇīnāṁ vāsudevo 'smi pāṇḍavānāṁ dhanañjayaḥ munīnām apy ahaṁ vyāsaḥ kavīnām uśanā kaviḥ
Commentary
Krishna identifies with Himself (Vasudeva) and with Arjuna (among Pandavas), Vyasa (among sages), and the poet Shukracharya—showing the Divine in specific persons.
