“Equal to friend and foe, equal in honor and dishonor, equal in cold and heat, pleasure and pain, free from attachment—”

समः शत्रौ च मित्रे च तथा मानापमानयोः | शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु समः सङ्गविवर्जितः ||
Transliteration
samaḥ śatrau ca mitre ca tathā mānāpamānayoḥ śītoṣṇa-sukha-duḥkheṣu samaḥ saṅga-vivarjitaḥ
Commentary
Equanimity characterizes the devotee: same attitude toward friend and enemy, honor and insult, physical comforts and discomforts, while remaining unattached.
