“Non-attachment, non-identification with son, wife, home, and the like, and constant even-mindedness in pleasant and unpleasant events—”

असक्तिरनभिष्वङ्गः पुत्रदारगृहादिषु | नित्यं च समचित्तत्वमिष्टानिष्टोपपत्तिषु ||
Transliteration
asaktir anabhiṣvaṅgaḥ putra-dāra-gṛhādiṣu nityaṁ ca sama-cittatvam iṣṭāniṣṭopapattiṣu
Commentary
Knowledge manifests as non-attachment to family and possessions, and maintaining equanimity whether circumstances are favorable or unfavorable. This balance indicates true understanding.
