“One who thus knows the person and nature along with the qualities, regardless of present condition, is not born again.”
Sanskrit
य एवं वेत्ति पुरुषं प्रकृतिं च गुणैः सह | सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि न स भूयोऽभिजायते ||
Transliteration
ya evaṁ vetti puruṣaṁ prakṛtiṁ ca guṇaiḥ saha sarvathā vartamāno 'pi na sa bhūyo 'bhijāyate
Commentary
True knowledge of the distinction between consciousness and nature, understanding how the gunas operate, liberates one from rebirth. Whatever one's current circumstances, this knowledge grants freedom.
