“This has been sung by the sages in many ways, in various Vedic hymns, and also in the well-reasoned and conclusive words of the Brahma-sūtras.”
Sanskrit
ऋषिभिर्बहुधा गीतं छन्दोभिर्विविधैः पृथक् | ब्रह्मसूत्रपदैश्चैव हेतुमद्भिर्विनिश्चितैः ||
Transliteration
ṛṣibhir bahudhā gītaṁ chandobhir vividhaiḥ pṛthak brahma-sūtra-padaiś caiva hetumadbhir viniścitaiḥ
Commentary
Krishna acknowledges that this knowledge has been expressed by ancient sages through various Vedic texts and the systematic aphorisms of the Brahma-sūtras. The teaching has scriptural authority.
