“Becoming the digestive fire in the bodies of all living beings, united with the outgoing and incoming breath, I digest the four kinds of food.”
Sanskrit
अहं वैश्वानरो भूत्वा प्राणिनां देहमाश्रितः | प्राणापानसमायुक्तः पचाम्यन्नं चतुर्विधम् ||
Transliteration
ahaṁ vaiśvānaro bhūtvā prāṇināṁ deham āśritaḥ prāṇāpāna-samāyuktaḥ pacāmy annaṁ catur-vidham
Commentary
As the digestive fire (Vaishvanara), Krishna dwells in all bodies. Working with the vital breaths, He digests all food—whether chewed, swallowed, licked, or sucked. Digestion is divine activity.
