“An eternal fragment of Myself becomes the living entity in this world of life, drawing to itself the six senses including the mind, which rest in nature.”
Sanskrit
ममैवांशो जीवलोके जीवभूतः सनातनः | मनःषष्ठानीन्द्रियाणि प्रकृतिस्थानि कर्षति ||
Transliteration
mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇi prakṛti-sthāni karṣati
Commentary
Each soul is an eternal part of the Divine—never separate in essence, yet appearing distinct. The soul attracts the mind and five senses, which belong to material nature.
