“Knowledge, action, and the doer are declared in the philosophy of the gunas to be of three kinds according to the difference in qualities. Hear about them properly.”

ज्ञानं कर्म च कर्ता च त्रिधैव गुणभेदतः | प्रोच्यते गुणसङ्ख्याने यथावच्छृणु तान्यपि ||
Transliteration
jñānaṁ karma ca kartā ca tridhaiva guṇa-bhedataḥ procyate guṇa-saṅkhyāne yathāvac chṛṇu tāny api
Commentary
Knowledge, action, and agency each manifest in sattvic, rajasic, and tamasic forms. Understanding these distinctions helps one cultivate the highest approach to all activities.
