“The doer who is attached, desirous of action's fruits, greedy, violent, impure, and affected by joy and sorrow—that doer is declared rajasic.”
Sanskrit
रागी कर्मफलप्रेप्सुर्लुब्धो हिंसात्मकोऽशुचिः | हर्षशोकान्वितः कर्ता राजसः परिकीर्तितः ||
Transliteration
rāgī karma-phala-prepsur lubdho hiṁsātmako 'śuciḥ harṣa-śokānvitaḥ kartā rājasaḥ parikīrtitaḥ
Commentary
The rajasic doer is attached, result-oriented, greedy, prone to harm, impure, and tossed between elation and depression. Such a person is bound by every action.
