“O Bharata, to him who was thus lamenting in the midst of both armies, Hrishikesha, smiling as it were, spoke these words.”
Sanskrit
तमुवाच हृषीकेशः प्रहसन्निव भारत | सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये विषीदन्तमिदं वचः ||
Transliteration
tam uvāca hṛṣīkeśaḥ prahasann iva bhārata senayor ubhayor madhye viṣīdantam idaṁ vacaḥ
Commentary
Krishna smiles before speaking - not mockingly, but with the gentle wisdom of one who sees beyond the immediate crisis. His smile hints at the liberating knowledge He is about to share.
