“The soul can never be cut by weapons, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor dried by the wind.”
Sanskrit
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः | न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः ||
Transliteration
nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ
Commentary
The soul is beyond physical destruction. No element or force can harm it - not weapons, fire, water, or wind. This verse poetically describes the soul's complete transcendence of material existence.
