This soul is unbreakable and incombustible; it can neither be wetted nor dried. It is everlasting, all-pervading, unchangeable, immovable, and eternally the same.

Sanskrit

अच्छेद्योऽयमदाह्योऽयमक्लेद्योऽशोष्य एव च | नित्यः सर्वगतः स्थाणुरचलोऽयं सनातनः ||

Transliteration

acchedyo 'yam adāhyo 'yam akledyo 'śoṣya eva ca nityaḥ sarva-gataḥ sthāṇur acalo 'yaṁ sanātanaḥ

Commentary

More qualities of the soul are enumerated: invulnerable, omnipresent, stable, immobile, and eternal. These characteristics distinguish the soul from everything in the material world.
