“Do not yield to unmanliness, O Partha. It does not befit you. Give up this petty weakness of heart and arise, O conqueror of enemies!”
Sanskrit
क्लैब्यं मा स्म गमः पार्थ नैतत्त्वय्युपपद्यते | क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप ||
Transliteration
klaibyaṁ mā sma gamaḥ pārtha naitat tvayy upapadyate kṣudraṁ hṛdaya-daurbalyaṁ tyaktvottiṣṭha parantapa
Commentary
Krishna uses strong language to rouse Arjuna from his paralysis. He calls upon Arjuna's identity as a great warrior, reminding him that such weakness is beneath his nature and reputation.
