“By this you shall nourish the gods, and the gods will nourish you. Thus nourishing one another, you shall attain the highest good.”
Sanskrit
देवान्भावयतानेन ते देवा भावयन्तु वः | परस्परं भावयन्तः श्रेयः परमवाप्स्यथ ||
Transliteration
devān bhāvayatānena te devā bhāvayantu vaḥ parasparaṁ bhāvayantaḥ śreyaḥ param avāpsyatha
Commentary
A reciprocal relationship exists between humans and cosmic forces. When we honor the divine through sacrifice, we receive blessings in return. This mutual support system benefits all beings.
