“Such a self-realized person has no purpose to fulfill by doing any action, nor any reason to avoid any action. Nor does such a person need to depend on any other being.”
Sanskrit
नैव तस्य कृतेनार्थो नाकृतेनेह कश्चन | न चास्य सर्वभूतेषु कश्चिदर्थव्यपाश्रयः ||
Transliteration
naiva tasya kṛtenārtho nākṛteneha kaścana na cāsya sarva-bhūteṣu kaścid artha-vyapāśrayaḥ
Commentary
The enlightened one neither gains from action nor loses from inaction. Completely self-sufficient, they have no need to seek anything from anyone. True freedom is this complete independence.
