“But one who takes pleasure in the self, who is satisfied in the self, and who rejoices only in the self - for such a person there is no duty.”
Sanskrit
यस्त्वात्मरतिरेव स्यादात्मतृप्तश्च मानवः | आत्मन्येव च सन्तुष्टस्तस्य कार्यं न विद्यते ||
Transliteration
yas tv ātma-ratir eva syād ātma-tṛptaś ca mānavaḥ ātmany eva ca santuṣṭas tasya kāryaṁ na vidyate
Commentary
The self-realized soul, finding complete satisfaction within, has transcended the need for external action. Having attained the goal, they are free from all obligations.
