“The nature of action is very difficult to understand. One must understand the nature of prescribed action, forbidden action, and inaction.”
Sanskrit
कर्मणो ह्यपि बोद्धव्यं बोद्धव्यं च विकर्मणः | अकर्मणश्च बोद्धव्यं गहना कर्मणो गतिः ||
Transliteration
karmaṇo hy api boddhavyaṁ boddhavyaṁ ca vikarmaṇaḥ akarmaṇaś ca boddhavyaṁ gahanā karmaṇo gatiḥ
Commentary
Three categories must be understood: proper action, improper action, and inaction. The path of action is deep and subtle, requiring careful discrimination.
