“Some yogis worship the gods through sacrifices; others offer the self as sacrifice in the fire of Brahman.”
Sanskrit
दैवमेवापरे यज्ञं योगिनः पर्युपासते | ब्रह्माग्नावपरे यज्ञं यज्ञेनैवोपजुह्वति ||
Transliteration
daivam evāpare yajñaṁ yoginaḥ paryupāsate brahmāgnāv apare yajñaṁ yajñenaivopajuhvati
Commentary
Various forms of sacrifice exist. Some worship through ritual offerings to deities; others offer the individual self into the universal Self. All sincere practices have value.
