“That very ancient science of yoga I am today declaring to you, because you are My devotee and My friend. This is indeed a supreme secret.”
Sanskrit
स एवायं मया तेऽद्य योगः प्रोक्तः पुरातनः | भक्तोऽसि मे सखा चेति रहस्यं ह्येतदुत्तमम् ||
Transliteration
sa evāyaṁ mayā te 'dya yogaḥ proktaḥ purātanaḥ bhakto 'si me sakhā ceti rahasyaṁ hy etad uttamam
Commentary
Krishna shares this supreme secret with Arjuna because of their intimate relationship. Divine knowledge is revealed to those who have faith and friendship with God.
