“Arjuna said: The sun-god was born long before You. How am I to understand that You instructed him in the beginning?”
Sanskrit
अर्जुन उवाच | अपरं भवतो जन्म परं जन्म विवस्वतः | कथमेतद्विजानीयां त्वमादौ प्रोक्तवानिति ||
Transliteration
arjuna uvāca aparaṁ bhavato janma paraṁ janma vivasvataḥ katham etad vijānīyāṁ tvam ādau proktavān iti
Commentary
Arjuna raises a logical question: How could Krishna, apparently younger, have taught the ancient sun-god? This question leads to the revelation of Krishna's eternal nature.
