“The yogi should constantly engage the mind in meditation, living alone in a secluded place, with mind and body controlled, free from expectations and possessiveness.”

योगी युञ्जीत सततमात्मानं रहसि स्थितः | एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा निराशीरपरिग्रहः ||
Transliteration
yogī yuñjīta satatam ātmānaṁ rahasi sthitaḥ ekākī yata-cittātmā nirāśīr aparigrahaḥ
Commentary
Practical guidance for meditation: solitude, self-control, freedom from desires and attachments. These conditions support the practice of constantly uniting with the Self.
