“One who is equal-minded toward friends, companions, enemies, neutrals, arbiters, the hateful, relatives, saints, and sinners is distinguished.”
Sanskrit
सुहृन्मित्रार्युदासीनमध्यस्थद्वेष्यबन्धुषु | साधुष्वपि च पापेषु समबुद्धिर्विशिष्यते ||
Transliteration
suhṛn-mitrāry-udāsīna-madhyastha-dveṣya-bandhuṣu sādhuṣv api ca pāpeṣu sama-buddhir viśiṣyate
Commentary
The highest yogi sees all beings equally - friend and foe, saint and sinner. This impartial vision reflects genuine spiritual attainment.
