“...seated there, making the mind one-pointed, with thoughts and senses controlled, one should practice yoga for self-purification.”
Sanskrit
तत्रैकाग्रं मनः कृत्वा यतचित्तेन्द्रियक्रियः | उपविश्यासने युञ्ज्याद्योगमात्मविशुद्धये ||
Transliteration
tatraikāgraṁ manaḥ kṛtvā yata-cittendriya-kriyaḥ upaviśyāsane yuñjyād yogam ātma-viśuddhaye
Commentary
The purpose and method: sit, focus the mind, control thoughts and senses, practice yoga for inner purification. Concentration is the key to meditation.
