“The unsuccessful yogi, having attained the realms of the righteous and dwelling there for many years, takes birth in the house of pure and prosperous people.”
Sanskrit
प्राप्य पुण्यकृतां लोकानुषित्वा शाश्वतीः समाः | शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे योगभ्रष्टोऽभिजायते ||
Transliteration
prāpya puṇya-kṛtāṁ lokān uṣitvā śāśvatīḥ samāḥ śucīnāṁ śrīmatāṁ gehe yoga-bhraṣṭo 'bhijāyate
Commentary
The failed yogi first enjoys heavenly rewards, then takes birth in favorable circumstances - a pure, wealthy family. This provides good conditions for resuming spiritual practice.
