“The yogi who strives with great effort, purified of all sin, perfected through many births, then attains the supreme goal.”
Sanskrit
प्रयत्नाद्यतमानस्तु योगी संशुद्धकिल्बिषः | अनेकजन्मसंसिद्धस्ततो याति परां गतिम् ||
Transliteration
prayatnād yatamānas tu yogī saṁśuddha-kilbiṣaḥ aneka-janma-saṁsiddhas tato yāti parāṁ gatim
Commentary
Through persistent effort over many lifetimes, the yogi becomes completely pure and finally reaches the ultimate destination. No effort is wasted on this journey.
