“I am the strength of the strong, free from passion and desire. I am desire that is not contrary to dharma, O best of the Bharatas.”
Sanskrit
बलं बलवतां चाहं कामरागविवर्जितम् | धर्माविरुद्धो भूतेषु कामोऽस्मि भरतर्षभ ||
Transliteration
balaṁ balavatāṁ cāhaṁ kāma-rāga-vivarjitam dharmāviruddho bhūteṣu kāmo 'smi bharatarṣabha
Commentary
Divine strength is free from selfish passion. Even desire itself, when aligned with righteousness, is a manifestation of God. This sanctifies legitimate desires within dharmic bounds.
