“Among thousands of men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth.”
Sanskrit
मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद्यतति सिद्धये | यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ||
Transliteration
manuṣyāṇāṁ sahasreṣu kaścid yatati siddhaye yatatām api siddhānāṁ kaścin māṁ vetti tattvataḥ
Commentary
True knowledge of God is rare. Even among spiritual strivers, few attain perfection, and among the perfected, fewer still know Krishna in His complete reality. This highlights the preciousness of this teaching.
